    The Vice President of Sales is a pivotal role in driving our sales strategy, achieving revenue targets, and fostering a high-performance sales culture. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the VP is responsible for leading, managing, and mentoring our sales team while collaborating closely with other departments to ensure the overall success of the organization.


    Manage and Develop Sales Teams (60%) 

    • Develop and communicate sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics to the sales team. Continuously monitor progress and adjust as needed to achieve revenue goals. 
    • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. Implement and optimize sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. 
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team. Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to help team members reach their full potential. Motivate and incentivize the team to achieve and exceed targets. 

    Lead Budget and Forecasting (10%)  

    • Develop and manage the sales department budget, allocating resources effectively to meet sales objectives while ensuring fiscal responsibility. 
    • Generate accurate sales forecasts and regular reports that provide insights into sales performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement. 

    Research and Analyze Market and Competitors (10%) 

    • Stay informed about market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Use this knowledge to adapt our sales strategies and product offerings accordingly. 

    Collaborate with Marketing Department (10%) 

    • Work closely with the marketing department to develop effective sales materials, promotional strategies, and campaigns that align with sales objectives. 

    Build Customer Relationships (10%) 

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. 

    Requirements

    • Proven experience and success in inspiring, motivating and developing high-performance sales teams to achieve and exceed targets.

    As Tax Services Associate with our Tax & Legal Affairs team, you will provide tax support to our growing client base of over 2,000 private foundations. 


    In this role, you will primarily focus on the intake, research, and resolution of all incoming IRS correspondence regarding our clients’ tax filings and related payments, credits and refunds. Additionally, you will work with members of the Tax & Legal Affairs team to resolve matters from various state tax authorities and assist with ad hoc projects.


    We are seeking a quick learner with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, who works well independently as well as with a team, and takes direction effectively from various sources. An ideal candidate for this role is someone with tenacity who is highly motivated, demonstrates a proactive approach to tasks, all while succeeding in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are critical.


      

    Key Responsibilities

    • Intake, research, and resolution of correspondence from the IRS and state tax authorities, primarily regarding the filing of IRS Forms 990PF and 990T, including extensions to those forms and associated tax payments
    • Manage workflow through project management software
    • Review and reconciliation of incoming refund checks, credit adjustments, and discrepancies between internal and IRS/state records
    • Coordinate the processing of physical mail from the IRS and State agencies 
    • Work directly with IRS agents and internal stakeholders, such as Tax Accountants (Tax & Legal Affairs) and Private Client Advisors (Client Services) to resolve client tax matters
    • Coordinate and communicate on occasion with clients and financial advisors

    Requirements

    Summary

    Private Client Advisors serve as the primary relationship managers for roughly 60 private foundations and their board members, staff, financial advisors, and other trusted counselors in engaging Foundation Source’s full suite of resources to deliver superior, ongoing private foundation support and services.


    Key Responsibilities


    Client Relations (40%)

    • Manage a portfolio of private foundation client relationships by responding to client emails and phone calls with speed and accuracy and proactively reaching out to clients with relevant industry or company information.
    • Meet or exceed department performance indicators relating to client retention (i.e., 97% retention within the team); seek opportunities to build client (and employee) loyalty to the company
    • Responsible for maximizing potential for referrals through client and advisor relationship management
    • Provide support to sales staff as needed (e.g., participation in prospect calls and meetings)

    Client Coordination (30%)

    • Oversee administrative operations for foundation clients to ensure compliance with tax and state filings, mandated distribution requirements and grant and expense processing by coordinating Foundation Source’s various departments and resources.

    Onboarding and Development (20%)

    • Implement new Foundation Source clients by customizing and introducing the FSOL platform and then serving as an ongoing resource for private foundation regulations and recognizing opportunities for incorporating additional services (i.e. Applications/Outcomes/PD Engagements).

    Continuous Improvement (10%)

    • Maintain confident knowledge of FS systems and processes, compliance, and general philanthropy issues by attending various trainings and info sessions and be able to effectively articulate this information to clients as needed and appropriate.
    • Seek ways to improve our product and services, while simultaneously identifying ways to maximize efficiencies without compromising service quality
    • Provide feedback to IT regarding common problems and/or opportunities for product improvement and enhancement
    • Participate in QA testing for new software releases and enhancements, as needed

    Requirements

    • 1-2 years’ experience in delivering relationship management, administrative support and exceptional customer service at a private foundation, financial services firm, or family office or will demonstrate similar relevant experience
    • Clear and effective communication skills, written and verbal
    • Strong client-service orientation and interpersonal skills
    • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and ability to learn and utilize new technology
    • Heightened, yet balanced, attention to accuracy
    • Strong analytical skills to review and understand client issues and determine efficient resolutions

    We are seeking a tax accountant to be a key player in our Client Tax & Legal Affairs department. The position requires an ability to analyze financial information, interpret tax rules, and complete work with a high level of accuracy and in a timely fashion. Written and oral communication skills are important, as the job requires continual interaction with colleagues, with clients (foundations), and at times with the IRS. The ideal candidate has a natural curiosity, ability to adapt to evolving tax laws, swiftly grasp complex tax concepts, regulations, and industry changes.


    Prepare and file foundation tax returns (70%) 

    • Prepare private foundation tax returns (IRS Forms 990PF and 990T, and accompanying forms) and extensions (8868) 

    Research, Analysis and Reporting (30%) 

    • Calculate and review quarterly estimates  
    • Responsible for drafting responses to client comments and questions 
    • Research and draft responses to correspondence received from tax authorities (mostly in the form of IRS Notices)  
    • Analyze Minimum Distribution Requirements 
    • Other tax related projects as requested by management 

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, or finance with a minimum of 2 years of tax return preparation and tax accounting experience preferred
    • GL experience a plus 
    • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented, and a self-starter 
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting statutory and internal deadlines 
    • Strong technical skills (tax, accounting)
