Private Client Advisors (PCAs) are the main point of contact for 50-80 private foundations and their board members, staff, financial advisors, and other trusted counselors. The Associate Private Client Advisor (APCA) provides support to both a team of PCAs and an initial group of private foundation clients, assisting in guiding clients through all aspects of Foundation Source services. The APCA is responsible for assisting with the retention of the company’s clients by responding to client questions and requests and for engaging the full resources of the company in delivering ongoing support and services.
An ideal candidate would have spent time providing high-level administrative support at a family foundation, financial services firm, or similar experience.
In this position, you will prepare IRS Forms 990-PF and 990-T, annual returns for private foundations, calculate extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments, research and respond to correspondence and notices received from tax authorities, and assist with strategic tax planning for our private foundation clients. In addition, you will prepare the necessary state tax filings where applicable.
Essential Function: Outbound calling to prospective clients to identify and distribute qualified sales leads for prompt action.
Managing Directors (MDs) are the outside sales force for the company and generate much of the company’s new clients and new revenue each year. New business is generated through self-sourced opportunities generated by the MD directly with foundation managers and wealthy individuals in the marketplace or through the development of client advisor relationships with wealth managers, bankers, attorneys, accountants, and other centers of influence. In addition, Foundation Source maintains and develops a growing number of institutional partnerships with financial services firms, banks, brokerage houses, private banks, trust companies, wealth management firms, family offices, and other service providers. MDs leverage these partnerships for access to client advisors for the development and cultivation of new Foundation Source client relationships. The MD is part of a team of Managing Directors, Philanthropic Directors and Inside Sales team members who provide business development coverage to regions across the US. The position reports to the company CEO or to the national head of sales.
