Leadership and Impact:  Lessons from Social Entrepreneurs

Like last year’s event, the Luncheon is open to all, regardless of membership in Donors Forum.

Donors Forum’s Annual Luncheon is considered the region’s premier networking and educational event for staff members, volunteers, and advisors engaged in philanthropy, nonprofits, and social ventures.

Our keynote speaker will be Cheryl Dorsey, President of Echoing Green, a pioneer in the social entrepreneurship movement. This global social venture fund has awarded more than $30 million in start-up capital to more than 500 next-generation social entrepreneurs worldwide since 1987.

Her talk, Leadership and Impact: Lessons from Social Entrepreneurs, will focus on how all of us — whether we work for an operating nonprofit, corporate grantmaker, foundation, consulting firm, advisory group, or social venture fund — can use principles of social entrepreneurship to create the most innovative solutions to social problems. These principles are drawn from the experience of the social entrepreneurs funded by Echoing Green as well as Dr. Dorsey herself. Come for inspiration and a fresh take on the work we do every day to improve lives and strengthen communities!
