The Learning Conference – 2013
In the current climate of reduced economic resources and increased social need, it is essential for grantmakers and our partners to be able to learn from our work in order to increase impact. Undertaking learning and evaluation specifically for the purpose of improvement is the best way in which we can discern what works, for whom and how, and thus be better able to target our efforts. A number of leading philanthropic organizations have found effective strategy and performance are enhanced when informed by learning.
The day-to-day realities of the issues we are working to address often allow little time and resources for reflection and inquiry. We struggle with being able to define and align our learning interests internally and with grantees, produce and share the necessary information to make better decisions, and create regular channels for asking the right questions at the right times.
The Learning Conference 2013 will empower participants to serve as change agents for learning and successfully navigate challenges and opportunities associated with making learning a priority.
