Annual Conference and Membership Meeting
As the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, Juneau, Alaska, is the perfect place to reflect on the ever-shifting nature of the philanthropic landscape. As a canoe society, water is central to Tlingit culture and is visible in all its forms throughout Juneau. It is constantly transforming under the influence of fluctuating temperatures, shifting currents, and changing winds. This setting will give conference attendees the opportunity to explore complexities present in our Northwest communities, including the relationship between Native and non-Native cultures, the new realities of rural America, and philanthropy’s role in public policy, among other issues.
