2012 Annual Conference
Investing in Promising Futures for All: this conference will provide a forum to consider the kaleidoscope of evolving cultures, traditions, and demographics that make up this country, and the role of private philanthropy – a true American tradition – in leveling the playing field for children, youth, and families, and developing services and systems to support individuals who are working to achieve their potential.
The conference will explore these themes through:
- Plenary sessions by key foundation, field and government leaders, who will present thought-provoking, broad visions on immigration, migration and other demographic trends impacting children, youth and families;
- Pre-conference institutes and off-site sessions that will provide in-depth analysis of critical and emerging issues of importance to diverse families and communities;
- Concurrent sessions, roundtables and special events that engage attendees around priority populations and cross-cutting issues of critical importance; and
- Information on policy and practice across local, state and federal arenas in order to understand opportunities for engagement in these processes.
